A Random Selection 200 Shrapnel Balls Recovered Somme Battlefields
Two hundred artillery shrapnel balls recovered from various areas of the Somme
A random selection of 200 artillery shrapnel balls recovered from various areas on the Somme. These were held in iron shrapnel shells that when on exploding in the air were flung down on the troops below. They were also supposed to cut barbed wire with little success. Some show impact damage. These are poignant pieces of history from nearly 100 years ago. Ideal for artillery shell restoration.
